Si bien es verdad que Portugal ofrece muchos, variados e interesantes destinos turísticos, que pueden colmar las apetencias de la inmensa mayoría de cuantos recalan por sus tierras, también es cierto que las mejores ofertas, y las de más calidad, se centran, principalmente, en dos áreas concretas: La Costa de Lisboa y El Algarve. Con referencia al Algarve, que es la región más meridional de Portugal continental, extendiéndose en una franja paralela a la costa atlántica, con una superficie próxima a los 5.000 kilómetros cuadrados y una población residente de unos 500.000 habitantes, es, sin duda, la zona más visitada del país, a la que acuden, cada año, más de 9 millones de turistas extranjeros, atraídos por sus bellos paisajes naturales, hermosas playas y una muy completa y diversa oferta de ocio.

Dentro de los complejos turísticos que se encuentran en el Algarve, cabe destacar el de la playa de La Rocha, en la localidad de Portimao, que, por otra parte, es un lugar estratégico desde el que se puede visitar toda la región. Dentro de esta complejo, merece la pena destacar el hotel Algarve Casino, de la conocida y acreditada cadena Solverde, S.A., con unas buenas instalaciones, una excelente piscina de agua salada, acceso directo a la playa, donde dispone de instalaciones propias, y una buena gastronomía; en definitiva, un hotel de cinco estrellas que, dentro de su categoría, ofrece una buena relación calidad-precio y que puede proporcionar una agradable estancia.

Por último, una recomendación: Para una visita al Algarve, combinando el descanso y el ocio, en la que se pueda conocer y disfrutar de los lugares más importantes de la zona, tales como Faro, Lagos, Sagres, etc. se debe de disponer de una semana como mínimo, con la seguridad de que será bien empleada. Una previa y adecuada programación del viaje ayudará a obtener el máximo aprovechamiento y, por ende, la mayor satisfacción.

With reference to the Algarve, which is the southernmost region of mainland Portugal, extending in a strip parallel to the Atlantic coast, covering around 5,000 square kilometers, with a resident population of approximately 500,000, is, undoubtedly, the area most visited of this country, which moves each year over 9 million foreign tourists, attracted by its beautiful natural scenery, beautiful beaches and a very full and diverse range of leisure activities.

Among the tourist facilities that are in the Algarve, it is noteworthy the corresponding to the beach of La Rocha, in the town of Portimao, that also is a strategic location from which you can visit the whole region. A prior and appropriate programming of the trip will help get the maximum use and, therefore, the greatest satisfaction.
