Entre las muchas bellas y pintorescas localidades que se extienden a lo largo y ancho de Andalucía, posiblemente Ronda ocupe uno de los más destacados lugares. Asentada sobre una meseta cortada por el profundo tajo excavado a lo largo de miles de años por el río Guadalevín, desde la que se puede contemplar una magnífica panorámica de la serranía que lleva su nombre, ofrece al visitante, junto a su atractivo entorno natural, una riqueza monumental considerable y una espléndida gastronomía, lo que, unido a la hospitalidad y amabilidad de sus gentes, proporciona a todos cuantos recalan por sus tierras una agradable estancia y un grato recuerdo

Aunque son muchos los alicientes que ofrece la ciudad de Ronda, lo que más atrae la atención del turista es su magnífica plaza de toros, que, con su ruedo de 66 metros de diámetro, el más amplio del mundo, la peculiaridad y belleza de su arquitectura, las piezas de museo que atesora y la sobria elegancia de su interior, está reconocida como una de las más antiguas y monumentales de todas las que existen. Aparte de la plaza, son igualmente lugares de visita obligada el Puente Nuevo que salva el tajo del río Guadalevín, la obra arquitectónica por la que es más conocida la ciudad, el Museo Lara y el Museo del Bandolero. En cuanto a la gastronomía, basada en platos sencillos elaborados con productos de la tierra, ofrece casi tantas variedades como establecimientos, dado el toque personal que cada uno pone en su elaboración. Lo que no se puede dejar de probar es el “rabo de toro”, una de sus auténticas especialidades, y el “pisto rondeño”. Para este último plato, que se puede tomar junto con unas excelentes croquetas de jamón, no dejen de visitar el Café-Bar ARMIÑAN, situado en la calle del mismo nombre, al lado del Museo Lara, donde serán magníficamente recibidos por Cristóbal y Pepe, dos magníficas personas a las que, desde este blog, quiero enviarles mis más cordiales saludos.

A la hora de elegir alojamiento, el Parador Nacional de Turismo, magníficamente situado, con excelentes vistas sobre la Serranía de Ronda y unas buenas instalaciones, es, a mi juicio, una opción preferente.

Although are many the incentives that offers the city of Ronda, perhaps what most attracts the attention of tourists is its magnificent bullring, which, with its ring of 66 meters in diameter, the largest in the world, the uniqueness and beauty of your architecture, the pieces of museum that houses inside and the understated elegance of its installations, is recognized as one of the oldest and monumental that existing in the world. Apart from the bullring, there are other must see places, such as New Bridge that saves the slope of the river Guadalevín, the architectural work for which the town of Ronda is highly known, the Lara Museum and the Museum of Bandolero, inter alia. As for the cuisine, based on simple dishes made with local produce, offers almost as many varieties such as establishments, given the personal touch that everyone puts in their preparation. What can not be missed is the "bull's tail," one of their authentic specialties, and the " ratatouille rondeño”.
