THE EXAMPLE OF JAPAN

Through various media, national and international, as well as comments from some eyewitnesses, I had the opportunity to follow the recent events that have been developed in Japan, and continue and remain present for a long time, for the devastation caused by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that have been originated in the region the Tohuku, on the Pacific coast, on 11 March 2011. Was the most powerful earthquake that Japan suffered so far, that, in just over two minutes, carried the death, the disaster and despair, directly, to many thousands of people, the commotion and consternation throughout the nation, and the bewilderment to the entire planet.

To the most direct and measurable consequences in terms of human lives and property, will join other more difficult to evaluate, that, undoubtedly, will result from the uncontrolled radioactive leaks coming from nuclear accident of Fukushima complex. All a bleak scene that will take long time to recover, and even more for forgotten.

An millennial people like the Japanese, accustomed to suffer many natural disasters, which exceeded with sacrifice, tears, sweat and blood the largest and most severe test in its history, as the atomic bombings that were launched on 6 and  August 9, 1945 on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, ordered by the then President of the United States, Harry Truman, with a balance of more than 220,000 victims and the destructión of a huge area, and that, humiliating to Japan,  supposed the end to World War II, until the extreme of being, in a short period of years, between the three main economic powers in the world, no doubt that he will face this tragedy, overcoming all difficulties for get back to normal, recovering its pace, for continue to occupy the place of privilege that, on its own merits,  deserve.

The most notably, the surpassing greatness of this nation, lies in how to behave and cope with their problems. The discipline and respect with obey the rules set; their high sense of honor, loyalty and responsibility; the solidarity with their fellows; the pride of belonging to a group and race; the fortitude with which addresses  difficulties and their ability to overcome them, are the clearest examples of this people and values that differentiate it from other.

The absense of vandalism, so common, unfortunately, in other countries, that follow to this type of disaster, where the most unscrupulous people use the disorder to commit all sorts of abuses; the moderation and order with which the citizens have responded to the recommendations of the authorities in moderating the consumption of goods and services to prevent shortages and harsh restrictions; the absense of impact in the markets, without variation in the prices of basic necessities, unthinkable in any other part of the world where it is speculated without shamelessly and with everything, including misfortune, is an unequivocal confirmation of the previously stated  and is an exemplary lesson of human quality for everyone.

From my admiration for the Japanese people, my deepest desire for a speedy restoration of normalcy and overcome the damage caused by this sad, unfortunate and devastating natural phenomenon.
