Mallorca es la mayor y más importante isla del archipiélago balear y uno de los más importantes centros turísticos españoles, recibiendo, a pesar de la profunda crisis económica que afecta a Europa y otras regiones del planeta Tierra, más de 12 millones de visitantes al año. Su clima, típicamente mediterráneo, presenta temperaturas relativamente altas en verano y moderadamente bajas en invierno, siendo, por tanto, muy recomendable la estancia en las postrimerías de la primavera o en los inicios del otoño.

Dentro de la isla, son visitas obligadas los impresionantes acantilados y las rocosas calas que se dibujan en la Sierra de Tramontana, así como las bellísimas y caprichosas formaciones calcáreas y lagos interiores construidos por la naturaleza en las Cuevas del Drach y Hams; todo ello sin olvidar un paseo por las numerosas industrias de la piel en la ciudad de Inca y la de las perlas en Manacor. Dentro de la capital, Palma de Mallorca, no podemos dejar de visitar su majestuosa catedral (La Seo) y el Palacio de la Almudaina, que forman el conjunto monumental más destacado de la ciudad, así como el castillo de Bellver desde el que se puede disfrutar de unas espectaculares vistas. El Pueblo Español, en el que se recrean algunos de los más conocidos monumentos y edificios de España, y el casco histórico, con sus típicas calles, plazas y paseos, también ofrecen un especial atractivo que no se debe de desaprovechar.

La gastronomía, aunque no es el punto fuerte de la isla, tampoco es despreciable, amén de que en sus restaurantes se puede disfrutar de lo más excelente de la cocina internacional para satisfacer a los paladares más exigentes.

Por último, una recomendación: Cuando se encuentre en Palma de Mallorca no deje de visitar "Son Amar", una bella posesión del siglo XVI donde podrá disfrutar de una cena espectáculo con artistas de talla internacional y una magnífica puesta en escena, comparable con las más afamadas salas de fiestas de Europa. Seguro que no se arrepentirá.

Mallorca is the largest and most important island of the Balearics and one of the most important Spanish tourist centers, receiving, despite the deep economic crisis affecting Europe and other regions of the planet Earth, more than 12 million visitors a year. The climate, typically Mediterranean, offers relatively high summer temperatures and moderately low in winter, being, therefore, highly recommended the stay in the island in the late spring or early autumn.

Within the island, you can not miss visit the impressive rocky cliffs and bays that are drawn in the Tramuntana mountains as well as the whimsical and beautiful formations of limestone and inland lakes built by nature in the Caves of Drach and Hams; all this without forgetting a tour by the many industries of the skin in the town of Inca and the pearls of Manacor. Within the capital, Palma de Mallorca, we can not miss visit the majestic Cathedral (La Seo) and the Almudaina Palace, which together form the most prominent monument in the city as well as the castle of Bellver from which you can enjoy spectacular views. The Spanish Village, which recreates some of the most famous monuments and some of the more typical buildings of Spain, as well as the old town, with typical streets, places and beautiful promenades, also offer a special attraction that you should not be missed.

The food, though is not the strong point of the island, certainly is not negligible, apart from that in its restaurants you can enjoy the most excellent international cuisine that can satisfy the most demanding palates.

Finally, a recommendation: When you stay in Palma de Mallorca do not miss a visit to "Son Amar", a beautiful possession of the sixteenth century where you can enjoy a dinner show with featuring artists of international stature and a magnificent staging, comparable with the most famous night clubs in Europe. Surely that you will not regret of it.

IBIZA EN 30 FOTOGRAFÍAS

Ibiza es un importante referente turístico a nivel mundial, en la que destaca, sobre todas las cosas, la tranquilidad de sus costas salpicadas de bellísimas playas de fina arena y calas de aguas turquesas trasparentes en las que el descanso se convierte en todo un placer. También es famosa por su intensa vida nocturna, la cual goza de gran fama gracias a los numerosos e importantes clubs y discotecas que animan la noche ibicenca y atraen a numerosos turistas amantes de este tipo de espectáculos

Son lugares obligados de visita, además de la propia ciudad de Ibiza, en la que merece la pena recorrer el casco histórico situado en una colina desde la que se puede gozar de unas vistas magníficas, las otras dos localidades más importantes de la isla: San Antonio y Santa Eulalia. El resto de la isla es una sinfonía monótona de bosquetes poblados de pinos con una extensión que abarca aproximadamente el 60 % de su superficie.

It is also famous for its night life, which enjoys great fame due to the many important clubs and discos that enliven the night of Ibiza and attracts many tourists who love this type of show.

They are forced places to visit, in addition to the city of Ibiza, where is worth touring the historic town situated on a hill from which you can enjoy magnificent views, the other two major towns on the island: San Antonio and Santa Eulalia. The rest of the island is a monotone symphony of pine groves that covers an area of about the 60% of its surface.

La isla de Formentera, situada a corta distancia de Ibiza y bien comunicada por ferries que enlazan las dos islas, es igualmente un buen lugar para aquellos que buscan el descanso en un ambiente tranquilo y apacible. Ofrece unos espacios naturales de gran belleza en los que nos podemos perder alejados de la vida más agitada que nos encontramos en los principales centros de Ibiza. Su capital, San Francisco, es una pequeña localidad en la que la vida transcurre sin prisas, y en la que tomar un aperitivo en las terrazas de sus bares y restaurantes se convierte en un placer.

The island of Formentera, located a short distance from Ibiza and well connected by ferries that link the two islands, is also a good place for those seeking relaxation in a peaceful and gentle atmosphere. It offers a beautiful natural spaces in which we can get away from the hectic life that we found in the main centers of Ibiza. Its capital, San Francisco, is a small town where life runs slowly, without haste, and in which to take some aperitif on any terrace of its bars and restaurants becomes a pleasure.
